A total of 43,018 people from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Vaccination Center have received the second dose of Verocell (Chinese vaccine) vaccine against covid.

This number includes 32 vaccination centers at the district level and 1 in Tribhuvan Teaching hospital. There are 33 vaccination centers in total in Kathmandu. There are 23 thousand 485 males and 19 thousand 533 females were vaccinated for the second dose of covid.

A total of 11,741 people, including 5,847 men and 5,894 women, have been vaccinated on May 19 alone. Of these, 2,492 people have been vaccinated from Lanchaur, the vaccination center of Ward 26. After that, 2,427 people were vaccinated from the Judo Hall Center, a multi-purpose martial arts center in Ward 16.

The number of people vaccinated in 11 wards of the metropolitan is less than 1,000. In these wards, the lowest number is 197 people from ward 19, followed by 394 people in ward 20.

The first dose of the vaccine is being given to people in the age group of 18 to 59 years from April 7 to April 28 . For this, arrangements have been made for the designated person to go to the nearest vaccination center on the appointed day and get vaccinated. During this period, the vaccine can be taken every day from 10 am to 4 pm after going to the vaccination center with the first dose card.

As per the decision of the Ministry of Health and Population on May 5 and the District Disaster Management Center on May 8, the second dose of Chinese vaccine against Covid 19 was started in Kathmandu district from May 16. The first dose was given to those who received the first dose on April 7,8,9 and 10 and the second dose was given on May 16.

The second vaccination is based on the date of the first vaccination. Accordingly, the people who received the first vaccination on March 11 and 12,2077, have been vaccinated on May 17, 2077 and April 15, 2077, as the first vaccination was given on May 18.

Those who got the first vaccination on April 18and 19 are being given the second vaccine today. Tomorrow (May 21) those who have been vaccinated for the first time on 20,21,22,23 of April and those who have been vaccinated for the first time on May 24,25 will be given the second dose.
Those who have taken the first dose on 26th, 27th and 28th of April will be given the second vaccine on 23th, 24th and 25th of May respectively.
